This extraordinary handcrafted ceramic urn was made in Siena, Italy in the mid-1970's. 
Made of dense, earthy ceramic, this wonderful vintage piece is completely hand crafted and beautifully hand painted on all sides. Even the bottom has a painted inner rim !

A gorgeous Peacock at the center is surrounded by lush exotic leaves. A repeating pattern runs completely around the neck of the vase.

Two substantial handles are painted in a rich dark blue.
The back is as beautiful as the front so it can be displayed either way!
Measures approximately 8-3/4" high x 8-1/2" wide.
