Wonderful vintage 1970's Italian ceramic candle holder.
Handcrafted in Orvieto, this beautiful old piece has an interesting "pitcher" design.
The top has a deep well to catch melted wax, and a slightly drawn lip to pour it out. Your candle sits securely within the holder in the center of the well.
A big handle gives you a secure grip and adds to its unique character.
I love the unusual muted pale dusty Rose color and hand painted tonal Blue and Saffron Yellow designs.
Signed ORVIETO  on the bottom.
Measures 6" high x 4-3/4" wide at the bottom. A substantial and weighty piece.
In excellent condition.
