In 1996 I discovered - quite by accident - a wealth of magnificent vintage and antique glass findings that had been languishing for decades in a storehouse . The owners were interested in disposing of the contents and casually invited me to see what they had. Upon entering the poorly lit industrial warehouse , I saw nothing but ceiling-high shelves of dusty old boxes. But as I began to lift the lids, I soon realized the treasure this warehouse held. Thousands of boxes contained some of the most unique and beautiful glass I had ever seen. Adding to the excitement was the fact that much of the glass was in its original unopened packaging. Imagine the thrill of unsealing crumbling old cardboard boxes whose contents had not seen the light of day since the early 1900's. The fact that these fragile little pieces survived almost 100 years of benign neglect seemed almost miraculous to me. Having no practical use for any of this did not deter me for a moment. I knew I had to "rescue" each and every piece. And so was born "Splendor In The Glass". Though I now have my own warehouse of dusty old boxes, I continue to "rescue" old glass whenever I can find it. My extraordinary offering of vintage and antique glass continues to grow. I can confidently say that, while you may find larger collections, you will never find a finer, more unique one than right here on my website. I hope you enjoy your visit and look forward to hearing from you if I can be of assistance.

Please bear in mind when you buy vintage glass...
As is the case today, most stones were packaged together loosely in
paper envelopes by the manufacturer. Beads were strung and shipped in
hanks. Through the many years, as they've been in constant contact with
each other, they may have developed small nicks or abrasions. Most of
these will be visible only through magnification. Though many will,
remarkably, appear to be "brand new", it is not realistic to expect all vintage pieces to look new.
Unless otherwise noted, the glass you receive will be in very good to
excellent condition. Metal rings or stems will have some degree of
discoloration and/or oxidation from age.
Foil backing will likely show wear.
